Arlin H. French, D.O., F.A.O.C.O.

Dr. Arlin French is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who specializing in in both traditional and laser cataract surgery along with implantation of the most advanced Intraocular Lenses including multifocal, extended depth of focus, accommodating and toric lenses. Dr. French is one of the most experienced laser cataract surgeons in Michigan. He performs cataract surgery at the Clarkston Surgery Center, one of only two locations in Michigan equipped with the LenSx® femtosecond laser cataract surgery suite.

Dr. French is a graduate of Olivet College and received his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his internship and residency training through the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Program and became board certified through the American College of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery in May 1999.

In addition to his work at Oakland Eye Care, Dr. French is the Program Site Director of the Joseph H. Wyatt, Ophthalmology Program at St. John’s Providence Health System, which is an affiliate of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Always striving to stay abreast of the latest developments in his field, Dr. French is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. French was born and raised in Michigan. He and his family currently live in the Orion area. Dr. French and his wife Dr. Kathy French, a family practitioner, look forward to serving patients in the Clarkston area for many years.
