Thomas W. Biggs, II, D.O., F.A.O.C.O.

Dr. Thomas Biggs is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in in both traditional and laser cataract surgery along with implantation of the most advanced Intraocular Lenses including multifocal, extended depth of focus, accommodating and toric lenses. Dr. Biggs is one of the most experienced laser cataract surgeons in Michigan. He performs cataract surgery at the Clarkston Surgery Center, one of only two locations in the Michigan equipped with the LenSx® femtosecond laser cataract surgery suite.

Dr. Biggs is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds an Osteopathic medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also received his internship and residency training through the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Program and became board certified through the American College of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery in April 1995. His special interests include treatment of cataracts, glaucoma and diseases of the retina.

In addition to his work at Oakland Eye Care, Dr. Biggs is a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Neurology and Ophthalmology at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at McLaren Hospital in Oakland.

Always striving to stay abreast of the latest developments in his field, Dr. Biggs is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Michigan Ophthalmology Society.

Dr. Biggs was born and raised in the State of Michigan. He and his family call Clarkston home, and he looks forward to serving patients in the Clarkston area for many years.
