Dr. Arlin French is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in traditional and laser cataract surgery, and advanced Intraocular Lens implantation including multifocal, extended depth of focus, accommodating, and toric lenses. Renowned as one of Michigan’s leading laser cataract surgeons, he operates exclusively at the Clarkston Surgery Center, equipped with the state-of-the-art LenSx® femtosecond laser suite.
A graduate of Olivet College and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. French completed his internship and residency training at Michigan State University. He attained board certification from the American College of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery in May 1999.
In addition to his role at Oakland Eye Care, Dr. French serves as the Program Site Director of the Joseph H. Wyatt Ophthalmology Program at St. John’s Providence Health System, affiliated with Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Committed to advancing his field, Dr. French maintains active membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
A Michigan native, Dr. French resides in the Orion area with his wife, Dr. Kathy French, a family practitioner. They are dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients in the Clarkston area.
