Stefanie D. Sherman, M.D.
Board Certified Ophthalmologist
Dr. Stefanie Sherman is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in both traditional and laser cataract surgery, along with implantation of the most advanced intraocular lenses including multifocal, extended depth of focus, accommodating, and toric lenses. She performs cataract surgery at the Clarkston Surgery Center, equipped with the LenSx femtosecond laser cataract surgery suite. She also has special interests in eyelid surgery and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Sherman was raised in West Bloomfield, Michigan and is a graduate of West Bloomfield High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and a medical degree from the University of Michigan. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Sherman is passionate about evidence-based care for common and complex eye conditions. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Women in Ophthalmology, and the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. In 2018, she served as an Advocacy Ambassador for the Academy of Ophthalmology, where she traveled to Washington D.C. to advocate for patient safety issues and access to treatment.
In her free time, Dr. Sherman enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, exercising, trying new restaurants, and cooking.
Dr. Sherman believes in a personalized and caring approach and looks forward to serving patients in the Clarkston area for many years.
